A Thank You to the People of Haddam
We at Haddam Public Health, Inc. want to thank all the generous people of Haddam who contributed recently to the emergency food and fuel banks and to our holiday food basket program.
All-in-all, we provided baskets for seventy-eight households at Thankgiving and eighty at Christmas, twenty three households have received help with heating since July 2011 and four families were anonymously “adopted” by groups for Christmas and provided with food for a holiday meal and gifts.
As they have for many years, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary purchased clothing gifts for twenty-three children.
Whether your donation was five dollars or five cans of food, a thousand dollars or a thousand cans of food, we appreciate all donations that are made to us.
Remember, lots of small donations add up to become big ones and we welcome donations to the fuel and food banks all year round. (Please no dented or outdated products.)
Have a happy, healthy new year.
